San Cristobal <> Isabela ferry schedules

There is not a direct boat connecting these two islands, so you need to travel through Santa Cruz on the same day.

  • Start with the morning boat from either San Cristobal or Isabela.
  • Stop at Santa Cruz.
  • Take the afternoon departure to complete the second leg.

If you are traveling from San Cristobal to Isabela, start with the San Cristobal to Santa Cruz ferry and continue on the Santa Cruz to Isabela ferry.

If you are traveling from Isabela to San Cristobal, start with the Isabela to Santa Cruz ferry and continue on the Santa Cruz to San Cristobal ferry.

If you do it this way, we have facilities in Santa Cruz where you can store your luggage while you explore the town and wait for the second ferry. If you already know the two legs you need, go straight to the route pages above. If not, you can still book your Galapagos ferry tickets from the general booking page.

Please note that all the boats from all the companies have the same schedules and those are controlled by the Ecuadorian Navy. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

We work hard to book your seats only with the more comfortable boats and the most reliable operators. You may find cheaper deals in town, but you usually cannot secure your seats in advance or choose the same level of service certainty.

During weekends and high season, ferries often sell out, particularly the more popular or premium boats. Booking ahead avoids disappointment when schedules are busy.
