Who we are

Galápagos Transfers (GalapagosTransfers Cia. Ltda) is an Ecuadorian Travel Agency that sells inter-island transportation tickets online and in advance. Our website address is: https://galapagostransfers.com.

Galapagos Transfers books tickets for its customers within the most reputable boat companies operating in the Galapagos Islands connecting those companies with the end users. Users can also buy their tickets when they arrive in the island (see our FAQ)

About the tickets

The ticket can only be used in the date/route stated on it. It is the responsibility of the user/customer to be at the designated time and place.

Changeing and cancelling

  • Boat travels are regulated by the Ecuadorian Army and the Galapagos National Park and so those authorities could change or cancel a given schedule on very rare occasion such as meteorological warnings, etc.
  • Changes by the user/customer need to be communicated by email and are allowed 48 hours before departure date with no cost whenever there is availability in the new date/schedule/route.
  • Cancellations are allowed until 48 hours before departure and the 85% amount of the ticket would be refunded. The other 15% is not refundable.
  • Due to COVID all our customers can change their tickets to a future date.
  • Cancellations and changes after the 48 hour notice can be asked but are not guaranteed.

Delivering tickets

  • After payment, our customers will receive a notification that the purchase is being processed.
  • Once we book the tickets with the operators the confirmation is sent
  • The etickets and instructions are sent 30 days before departure date with boarding instructions and an emergency contact.

Galapagos Transfers is just responsible for the service it gives. We won’t offer any compensation in case the users of our service miss another mean of transport after they have lost the boat, or even it due to a major force issue the boat was delayed or the service cancelled.

We therefore recommend our users to have their insurance in place to cover for those situations.

  • All our communication is done via email in order to keep records. Our email address is help@galapagostransfers.com
  • Galapagos Transfers has a Phone for emergencies that is delivered to the users with the tickets
  • We speak both English and Spanish.
